The Mexican Standoff es una banda de mujeres Mexico-Americanas liderada por Fernanda Ulíbarri con una amplia trayectoria en USA que cautiva a su público con un show divertido y bellas armonías. Unieron su talento con Los Texmaniacs y El Flaco Jiménez, leyendas de la música Tejana y ganadores del Grammy, para crear una canción clásica Tejana con un twist moderno y femenino.

EL PANTALÓN BLUE JEAN fue compuesta por Santiago Jiménez, el padre del Flaco Jiménez. Se dice que la escribió como una queja humorista hacía las mujeres porque en vez de vestidos se ponían jeans. El Flaco la grabó en los años ochentas y ahora The Mexican Standoff la hicieron como una declaración feminista y la interpretamos en colaboración con el Flaco y Los Texmaniacs, leyendas de la música Tejana.

HOLA TEXAS!,  El Pantalón Blue Jean es el primer sencillo de lo que será el disco en colaboración de The Mexican Standoff, Los Texmaniacs y el Flaco Jiménez producido por Fernanda Ulibarri, Joe Treviño, Max Bacca y Eugene Toale. Se unieron muchos talentos de varias generaciones de la escena Mexico-Americana para reinterpretar y grabar estas nuevas versiones de canciones clásicas mexicanas y tejanas.

The Mexican Standoff it’s an all female Mexican-American band from Los Angeles CA led by Fernanda Ulíbarri that gives a unique and fun show to its audience. They came together with Los Texmaniacs and El Flaco Jimenez, music legends from Texas and multiple Grammy winners, to record a classic song from San Antonio with a modern and feminine twist.

SOUNDS LIKE: Norteña, energetic, fun, feminist.

This song was composed by Santiago Jiménez, Flaco Jimenez dad, as a humorous complaint about women wearing jeans instead of dresses. Flaco recorded it in the 80s, and now we have made it our own in collaboration with Flaco and Los Texmaniacs as a feminist statement.

HOLA TEXAS!, “El Pantalón Blue Jean” is the first single from the upcoming collaborative album by The Mexican Standoff, Los Texmaniacs, and Flaco Jimenez, produced by Fernanda Ulibarri, Eugene Toale, Max Bacca, and Joe Treviño. Many talents from various generations of the Mexican-American scene came together to reinterpret and record these new versions of classic Mexican and Texan songs.
