Video circulating on social media shows Cardi B lunging toward someone and being held back at Harper's Bazaar Icons party. A person who witnessed the incident who asked for anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly said Minaj was finishing up a conversation with someone when Cardi B tried to attack her, but Minaj's security guards intervened

TMZ filtró el momento exacto de la pelea de Nicki y Cardi B, que según informa el mismo medio, sucedió porque Nicki había estado reaccionando a publicaciones que se burlaban de la maternidad de B.
Después de esta polémica pelea, Cardi B terminó con una enorme moretón en la frente, con un mensaje claro para Hollywood:”Hay una rapera con la que ninguna celebridad debe meterse en problemas y ella es Nicki Minaj.
